SINTEFs turnover in 2010 was around NOK 2.8 billion. The department is active in selected areas of health economics, financing of healthcare, hospital planning patient flows and pathway analysis. We have thorough experience in management of multi-disciplinary projects.
Also a large part of the activity is research, monitoring and evaluations commissioned by national health authorities and partly by the Research Council of Norway. The research relates to aspects of both somatic and mental health services at different levels (GPs, primary care and specialist care), such as accessibility to services, use of resources and costs, financing, health systems, organisation, user satisfaction and services to vulnerable groups.
